QEM Limited explores and develops a world-class vanadium and oil shale project in the Julia Creek area of North Western Queensland, Australia.
KEY INVESTMENT HIGHLIGHTS
The Vanadium market is currently in a ~10,000 tonne deficit due to recent shifts in China’s steel manufacturing policy to increase quality.
Strong growth in Vanadium redox flow batteries over Lithium based alternatives for large-scale commercial use due to scalability, lower production costs, non-flammable and are longer lasting.
Prices for Vanadium Pentoxide have increased from US$5/lb in 2015 to US$18/lb in 2018, representing a 266% increase in the last 3 years. (source: www.vanadiumprice.com)
- QEM has a 1.7bn tonne resource @ 0.34% V2O5 with its high-grade deposits showing up to 0.74% V205.
- Attractively priced vs ASX listed peers with a $20M market cap Post-Listing.
- Company has signed an MOU with Canadian Listed Company – Petroteq Energy (PEQ:CVE) with the intention looking into potential shale oil extraction processes.
QEM Limited is an Australian company with the principal aim of exploring and developing a world-class vanadium and oil shale project in the Julia Creek area of North Western Queensland, Australia.
The Company's sole project is the Julia Creek Project, which comprises three exploration permits covering 176km2 in the Julia Creek area. The project area lies close to main infrastructure facilities and is intersected by the Flinders Highway and the Great Northern Railway line. Since incorporation and grant of tenure, the Company has actively explored the Julia Creek Project, which has resulted in the delineation of:
- an Inferred Mineral Resource of 1,700 Mt @ 0.34% V2O5 in accordance with the JORC Code 2012; and
- a contingent petroleum resource estimate (3C) of 589 million barrels in accordance with the SPEPRMS.
Whilst the Company's primary focus at the Julia Creek Project is on the strategic metal, vanadium, it has an advantageous by-product in the form of oil, as the vanadium is itself hosted in the same rock. The Company's distinct advantage is the potential to extract two product lines from the single resource base.
